Sunny Day at Community Festival + Chocomint order

My mom's class is having a performance at this local festival and wanted me and Sharon to be there. It was supposed to be at 12am but then got moved to 11:20 , which is too early for me :/ . So I ended up having only half an hour to get ready ...

It wasnt all that interesting there, but I got free cookie and drink :D. Free food always tastes better LOL

Most of the activities there are for little kids, I also wasnt all that interested in talking to strangers so me and my sister just went off and take a ton of photos to kill time.

Saying that though there was 1 interesting performance  , this caucasian young man wrote a poem titled ''Cafe Sua Da'' - > ''Vietnamese Iced Milk Coffee''. Its funny to me since Im Vietnamese, and I love Viet coffee XD

It was a very sunny day so perfect for usage of flash photography :D. Usually I hate flash but under the sun it looks very nice

My mom is wearing a traditional Vietnamese dress called "ao dai".

Afterward we all went for lunch at a Japanese restaurant near my place. This place is run by Japanese people so the food quality is quite good .

I only took one photo of the food though.

The last thing I want to show is my first order from Chocomint. It was a very pleasant experience, the shop staff speaks English and was really friendly and helpful. One of my item was out of stock and they let me add in another item to replace it :D. Also they marked my package as ''Gift'' to make sure I dont have to pay for custom, without me even asking for it ^^.

Overall I definitely recommend their store if you want good quality accessories with affordable price. 

I absolutely adore this ring ever since I saw it on Tumblr. Was a bit expensive though totally worth it ;)

I wish they still had this ring in Pink though, Lavender is nice too but Pink would matches my clothes better

Green Lantern + The Adventure in Fairmont Hotel

I haven't seen Galina for so long, because she's always busy with school =_=. It was Tuesday and it can only means half off movie night at Cineplex 8D. There wasnt any good movie around that time (since i already seen all the good ones haha), so even though i know Green Lantern's poor rating we decided on that. Gotta show support for a Vancouver actor :P

Started off the day i went to meet with her at Lansdowne as Galina wanted to show me some sales. I dont really go to that mall since it's not that interesting to me, but I manages to get a cute Bunny Ring

We then headed downtown to wander around before movie time. That day was the first time i've been to Vancouver Downtown after the Riot. Everything seems back to normal except for some shop's windows being boarded up. Poor Coach and LV stores :(

I dont really go into expensive brand stores normally, they dont suit my taste anyway but we had time to kill so we went inside Fairmont Hotel to check out some stores. For some dumb reasons we went inside the elevator (the door was opened ok D;) and didnt realize you need a card to use it, until a lady stepped in right after us and close the door before we could escape (uh oh).

It was very embarrassing, there's obviously no stairs down, so the floor staffs had to activate the elevator to let us down the lobby QAQ. NEVER AGAIN

Downstair of Fairmont there're some service stores, such as this shoe repair service. At first i thought it was part of their display - this antique looking chair- but it was a real service, however the person working there is on break.

Afterward we bought our movie tix, then wander aimlessly to get late lunch.I absolutely love the outside display of the Cupcake Shop. This one is Marie Antoinette theme <3<3

First time eating from this place, its a trailer bus (?) that apparently quite popular. We both got the same Chicken Sandwich. It was funny i think the guys who work there acted nicer toward us girls - offer to wrap up the food, showed us where to get topping and stuffs - while to other guys they just gave them their food

It was some good sandwich, packed with lotsa meat and mushroom <3

We also went to a Japanese super market to get drink. Bought Aloe Vera drink to match ''Green Lantern'' ;D

                                                        

The movie itself was very MEH but i already knew so didnt expect anything. Good visual effect though

To end of the day we stopped at English Bay to get half off at Marble Slab using our movie tix as coupon YAY . First time eating there , i quite like it :D

A day out and Tangled

I supposed to be up early to go with my mom (+her class) and my sis, Sharon, to the Ginger Bread House display at Hijack hotel , but ended up meeting up with them late since i wanted to try out something new with my hair. Also just got my hair lightened a few days before that 8D. No more ugly gradient yea ~
There arent that many gyaru/hime hair tutorials on youtube, but i found and got recommended some good ones, after much replayed and experiments, i think my result that day is quite a success.

I swear everytime when the camera snaps my little sis's expression changes, its so hard to capture her smile, she looks much cuter smilling

Funny story, when i was standing a bit away from Sharon to take my mom's photos, a guy apparently  walked by saw me, and passed my sister, stop, walked back to stare at me then stare at Sharon LOL.  Double checked to confirm he wasnt seeing thing i suppose, though we did had different hairdo

Im quite used to being stared at by people, even sometimes rude comments, but none as irritating as this one. 2 white guys, walked by me and Sharon, one of them went" Ugh gross" to my face and as he kept on walking away sometimes he would turn back at us and make yuke sounds. I was so pissed i yelled after him "F*CK YOU". I dont usually swear in public, and not loudly either, but that guy deserved it. I mean, we dressed very proper and cover up, sure the style isnt that common here so attracting attention is normal, and not everyone is open to different look, but it sure isnt that disgusting to be insulted like that.


After wandering around Pacific Centre for a while just window shopping, we parted with our mother and little sis to go to Metro town. Goal was to watch ''Tangled'', i wasnt super interested in it but it was half price Tuesday anyway.While waiting for Jose, Sharon's bf to come join us, we went around Metro to take pic with Christmas decoration there, and also to the usual purikura booth to camwhore XD. Nothing beat the lighting in there :3

We also saw the  Ferrero  Christmas tree , if only it was made out of the real chocolates 8'(. But looking good anyway, gold is my favorite color <3

''Tangled'' was an ok movie imo, its funny at parts, i like the horse , would like one to be my bodyguard XD. Still, being a Disney movie i still get the feeling its a movie for kids/young teen, so wasnt my thing. I would rather have seen ''Saw'', no matter how suck it is , just because it in 3D and my past experience with Final Destination 3D had been AWESOME. 3D gore OMG *__*

Christmas charity event

December 7th

My mom participated in a dance act for a local Christmas charity event with her friends,  so me , my sister Sharon and Jose her boyfriend are invited to come.

Ive just moved in with them on Dec 4th, after a fight with fucking stepdad. It is him that made living in that house unbearable for me, so it is a relief i finally have a legit reason to leave that place. Though i do miss my mom and little sister , i wished they could come with me 8'(


I spent time doing my hair, trying out new things, but because we were rushing against time i couldnt take a photo before leaving the house. And alas it had to rain that day, so obviously my hair was ruined. I swear everytime it has to rain AFTER i went outside B[ so, no umbrella, had to block the rain with my handbag the whole time when we walked from the parking spot to the venue, my arms went numb after holding it up over my head for a long time.

Thanks to my mom being late, we couldnt get a seat, so yay, standing the whole night with nothing to do. The food they provided were ... so so, i would say horrible but it was free =A=''

Christmas staff dinner

In the afternoon, I met with my friend Galina to go see Black Swan, but we both forgot to check showtime online before hand >.>. After checking on my phone, I realized of the showtimes available are not working for my schedule , since i have to leave for staff dinner at 7pm. Though i'm very disappointed because i was looking forward to seeing it before it even released, nothing can be done at this point. So we decided to just hang around . Clumsy me also forgot wallet at home, and i wasnt sure that my boss gonna cover for us so we went to my place to grab it anyway.

First, me and Galina went to Aberdeen centre to check out their Christmas display. It was so cute <3, much nicer than Metro town's imo.

 We walked around checking out stores to see if they have anything good on sale, didnt see any, however thats better for my wallet anyway :3.

After touring all Aberdeen (it s not very big), i still had some time left so we off to Richmond Centre. Saw these super cute Owl handbag haha. Galina has an obsession, dare i call it that, with owl  (strange i know). Arent they just perfect for cosplay Harry Porter XD?

For some reason, we always spend so much time at the pet store. If i can, i would like a pet dog, preferably Husky <3. Cats arent bad, but dogs are a lot more loyal and cuddly imo. I had on a big bow that day with a small bell on it, and i discovered pets are really attracted to the tinkling sounds the bell made. This one kitten really enjoyed my bell and was so into playing with my hair , we happened to have almost exact same hair color x). It was so cuttteee. I can keep playing with it foreverr

When i had to leave for the dinner, i knew i was gonna be late. Good thing i wasnt the last one to arrive ;D. The restaurant was called ''Kirin'' (not the Japanese beer brand), and who knews it such a fancy place . We had Chinese standard 10 course meal.

Theres a small table next to ours, which the staffs use for preparing our food. They would first show us the whole dish on the big tray, then proceed to put on small plates for each person. I've never had servers put food on plate for me, definitely feeling like royalty right there. And also fresh plate every dish ;D

The best dish i had to say was the Baked Tapioca pudding *3*. My first time trying it, after going home i went to look for the recipe online, but didnt find the exact same one ;(. Oh well i can always go there when i feel like having it again

After the dinner, my co-worker offered me a ride (Yay!) . I was kindda surprised since usually she seems pretty indifferent, so it was very nice of her. No walking to train in the rain XD
